With the proliferation of shows like American Chopper and the television specials about Jesse James, Billy Lane and the others, America has become obsessed with custom choppers. This isn't surprising as chopper building showcases the best of American art and mechanics. The bikes are as beautiful as they are functional. Choppers have a long history in America, but have never been as popular as today. 

Some incredible machines are being produced in the countless custom shops scattered around the Country. But there are many bikes being built in 2-car garages and under shade trees all across America. I am one of those people. I love the look of a custom chopper and am in the process of building one myself. I practiced by building a couple of mini choppers.
